It is cool when a city shuts down one of the main streets to have a contest. Makes me think of the street contests of the 1980's. How about the Soquel Contest with the ramp over the car. Chad and the guys don't miss the opportunity to shred the streets.

Word was Lil Wayne paid some dues over the weekend and got some stitches skating in St. Louis. That guy is amazing. Rap music might not be your thing and there are some strong arguments that the rap was done long ago but his music is some powerful stuff. That is a fact. I bet he gets good at skating because as you may know he works hard.

Papa Jack's is closing

It isn't the greatest park in the world but we love it, damn it! The City of Malibu is closing Papa Jack's Skatepark in October to allow a supermarket to be built. This one will be less than a mile from another supermarket. Super. Please contact Parks Director Bob Stallings at the City of Malibu to encourage him to find a new home for the skatepark because we need it. You can contact him here. Thanks for your help and please come out and skate our chill park.

Making it work

Yes, life can be rough. Maybe you've heard people complain about rough ground that they can't skate. Mike G. and others in places with horrible ground just get out there and get it done.
