Randy Chew Food Review #3

I typically would not go to this spot, but I was with my lady and she wanted something healthier. We ended up at Sharky's. This was a healthier choice. All the food is cooked on a wood fired grill and made with fresh, natural and organic ingredients. Normally is not my thing, eating healthy and all but I'm always open to try Mexi food of any type and this place was not half bad. I had the steak burrito, wet, with black beans. It was d-lish. Salsa was pretty fresh and one had a decent kick. It gets a 3 out of 5 burrito rating by me. Good stuff but i need more hot in the hot sauce and more grease. If you're trying to eat healthier and/or you're with a chick and/or want to go easy on your stomach, then this is worth a check out. For locations www.sharkys.com

The Waipio Valley

One last shot from Matt Huse's Hawaiian vacation. This is the Waipio Valley on wet side of the Big Island. Hawaii has some of the most awe inspiring landscapes in the U.S. The pace of life is mellow in much of Hawaii and the Big Island is a good place to find that vibe.

We've got a new member of the family. Fred Chew is a 9 week-old French Bulldog with a fine brindle coat. He's too young to walk on the grass and he loves to chomp on everything. UPDATE: It has been confirmed that Fred Chew is the size of a shoe.

Randy Chew Food Review #2

Hello all. Here's Review #2. This time I visited El Taquito in El Sereno. This place brings back memories. Like being completely hung over and needing something greasy and a jumbo Coke. Myself and the homie Drew returned to our past love for some good old bean and cheese burritos, nachos and Cokes. This place rocks. Majority of the Mexican joints I go to I usually get some sort of meat in my meal, but for some reason, even though the carne asada is bomb here, I always get nachos and a bean and cheese. The hot sauce is perfect, not too vinegary and just the right heat. Even though the guacamole is not fresh mashed up and is more of a sauce, it's the bomb. It has a great atmosphere and is never too crowded so you get your food relatively fast. Again this is a place that gets 5 out of 5 burritos from me.

Josh Campos is the newest rider on the Harmony Bearings team. Josh is from Santa Monica, California and also rides for Darkstar, O'Quinn, Active and Autobahn. Josh rips and is a chill dude. Here's Nick hucking himself over a rail and a gap in Hot Springs, Ark. Those who know Nick are always impressed by his amazing skating and are psyched that he is one of the more humble and cooler dudes around. Have a great 2011 Nick. You deserve it. Randy Chew Food Review #1

This is my first entry of some food reviews I'm doing. 99% of these entries will be at burrito spots since i am an addict. Since I live in LA it only seem right to start off with King Taco. It is one of my favorites. The carne asada is always tender and moist with mucho flavor. I know its called king taco and you might ask why i go for the burritos but that's just me. Hawaii is so chill

Sometimes, I wish I lived in Hawaii. Like when I go and try to go run some errands and everyone is driving like either a complete a-hole or a complete moron. Matt Huse is there for like 3 weeks. Cruiser mode in Penn

In Southern California it is freezing cold and wet. Today it is likely warmer and drier in Pittsburgh than in Los Angeles. Near Pitt there's a shop called Plankeye and they're using our Bomber 64mm on their new cruiser boards. Click on the pic to check it out. If you've got nice weather or an indoor spot, enjoy it.
