Skate Contest in Malibu

We sponsored a chill contest at the Papa Jack's Skatepark in Malibu on Friday. It was lots of fun and we saw some sick skating from some younger rippers. To all the skaters who came, thanks for coming out and skating. We'll be having contests at Papa Jack's on the 3rd Friday of every month this summer. Tony Karr is now on Underground

We’re pleased to welcome Tony Karr to the Underground Team. You may have seen some of his footage or photos. Tony is one of Stereo's newest ams and Es' shoes keep his feet warm. His home is Los Angeles and his buttery style reflects it. We’ve known Tony for a long time and it is great to have him on the team. We’re psyched to see what he will bring to the mix.

SLAB CITY FUN FEST 2010


Five dollars, a dead cell phone, and a busted tailpipe is about all I had left after this years Slab City Fun Fest. This past weekend the Sonoran Desert bore witness to rock & roll, skateboarding, and debauchery in the last free place on earth - Slab City. Put on by Ernie Quintero(The Spits), and El Centro's Cheap Tricks Skateshop, the Slab City Fun Fest hosts a weekend long camping rock & roll show on the remains of a WWII training facility. Skaters and rockers are welcomed by the camper and camouflage tent dwelling community onto two stages, built by the people that live there, and to an olympic sized empty swimming pool, with some DIY trannie. Everything for the show is free. Just bring your board and beer. Respect the Slabbers, and have fun.
